March Photo A Day
23}Moon~This particular moon is one of my favorites and brings me back to some great memories. Taking the vaporetti back to the train station in Venezia. What a great crescent moon! Glad I got to see Venice before it heads out to sea!





24}An animal~Well I know it’s springtime when I’m rescuing animals from my personal rodent exterminators. This particular day it was a chipmunk, not unlike the one pictured below. Stellaluna also got frisky the other day and decided to climb a tree and frantically converse with a birdie.


25}Breakfast~I love cereal and have a Seinfeld-esque collection at all times. Today…this.

28}Trash~Today Stella discovered plastic bags. She’s not quite sure if she should be really excited or really scared.

Week in review!
Thursday~Had some delicious roasted beet salad and sweet potato fries for dinner.

Saturday~Girls day. Shopping with mom and out to dinner at one of my favs, Thaicoon, on the Marietta Square. A little Kendall-Jackson chardonnay, Tempura sushi, Masaman curry, and pineapple fried rice. YUUUMMM!!

Ended a night of Thai with a cuppa Chai!

Spent a day purging my closets and reorganizing my drawers. Went through my nail polish and tossed a few. I think I’ll reorganize them with testers for future use! What colors should I get next? Hmm.

After cleaning and purging…MAD MEN SEASON 5 PREMIERE! It’s been almost 2 years since season 4 ended. So glad it’s finally back! Who else tuned in? I’ve been there since the beginning so I know it’s definitely going to be an interesting season, especially after Don and Megan’s crazy behavior Sunday. Here is Megan doing her own version of Happy Birthday for Don at his surprise party, “Everyone’s going to go home from this and they’re going to have sex.” She knew what she was doing.

Dinner last night. Ribs, BP, and tomato salad. I used a Real Simple recipe and added cucumber and basil. It would be really good with feta and even mixed into another salad.

Came home tonight and found more of my old children’s books. Cleaned them up and reorganized my children’s lit shelves. They are coming in very handy at work now! Story time brings me back!

Well I’m settling in for the night. Hope everyone is having a great week! Happy Hump Day! It’s almost Friday, counting down.

March photo a day + week in review

So I’ve gotten behind on my photo a day postings and going through my phone pictures I’m realizing how quickly March is passing by. My month has been really busy even though it hasn’t felt like it at the time. In fact I realized last night I forgot to pay some bills on time {eeek! I’ve never done that before!!} because I’ve been so busy and tired at the end of the day. Plus I have come down with a cold this week and have felt awful. My throat feels a little better today and I came home and did some some speed cleaning which made me feel better too. Pheeew! What a day! Well here is what I’ve been up to this week.
16}sunglasses~I love my prescription Ralph Lauren shades. Classic. Ready for an afternoon of bubble blowing and pinwheel spinning at the park with the kiddos.

17}Green~Earrings made from broken bits of vintage Belleek Shamrock china. So adorable and handmade:)


This is what I was greeted by at the front step. A bit of clover!


18}A corner of your home~If you’re having a not so great day just say “Let them eat cake!”

19}Funny~This lil bit put on her smock for finger painting and it was a tad large. Hilarious!

20}Before/After~Baby turned 6 this week!!
Before~I can’t believe he used to be this small. He was a fat newborn:}

After~6 years later he still loves hanging around. Look at that belly! He is now over 20 pounds and still the biggest baby of the bunch.

21}Delicious~I was inspired by Real Simple this week and did some cooking! Made this pasta, so easy. Fettuccini, tomato basil sauce, fresh tomato and torn basil, parmesan cheese, ground turkey, and fresh mozzarella. Delizioso!

22}Kitchen Sink~The sun is setting in these neck of the woods. Time for some supper and 30 Rock!

I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday! Ready to do some catching up and R&R around here.

Day 15}Car~Today was the Ides of March people! I was a little worried how my day would go but not too shabby, just really tiring! Mr. Darcy you were a sight for sore eyes at 5pm:)

March photo a day challenge {Days 11-14} + Week in Review

March is rolling along! It has gone from chilly days, to storms, to 80 degrees today! Woah woah woah! Can we please have some springtime please?!

Here are my days 11-14 of my #marchphotoaday challenge pics!

Day 11}Someone you talked to today-Didn’t do much talking to human beings on the 11th. But Stella had lots to say…with her eyes at least. “Food???”

Day 12}Fork-Funnily enough I came across this article about the “Forking” diet in Marie Claire the other day. I don’t quite get it, I’m pretty sure I could eat anything with a fork given enough time and ingenuity. Plus I’m not sure gummy bears are exactly what they were shooting for here.

Anyways I came home and made this yummy meal. Homemade citrusy slaw, roasted red potatoes, and bbq pork chops. Put a fork in it!

Day 13}A Sign-Old School. Next year will be 10 years. Woah.

Day 14}Clouds. Pretty clouds after a rainstorm.

The other day I met with friends at one of my favorite places in Atlanta, Souper Jenny, for grilled cheese night! I had some delicious Matzo Ball soup + grilled frommage. Sadly I left Jane at home but she’ll definitely be coming along for the next adventure. Here is what Jane & I were up to around this time last year, enjoying the springtime weather! It’s no coincidence Jenny’s address is my favorite number. We were meant to find one another;)

We also hit up Camicakes on Peachtree for pre-dinner dessert. Hey sometimes it’s just right! Also quickly becoming a tradition. Red Velvet. Black & White, and Banana Cream.

We are learning about the color green and St. Patrick’s Day this week! Shamrock smoothies/Superhero juice was on the menu.

March photo a day: Days 5-10

I can’t believe how this week has flown by! It’s been a busy week and therefore I’ve gotten behind on posting my March photo a day challenge pictures.
Day 5} A smile~I’ve been assigned weekly art projects for the children at work and this week we learned about circles. I had fun putting together this masterpiece. Fun and cheerful little creatures.

Day 6} 5pm~This is generally who I am greeted by once I get home. “Mommy!? I’m ready for dinner!” Miss Cookie Dough

Day 7} Something you wore~Just got this Old Navy button back two tone sweater. Love the color combo and button details!

Day 8} Window~I had a girls night Thursday and met up with Lily Girl and took one of my co workers, who is new to the area, out for dinner! We had fun hanging out and playing tour guide plus I got to visit my old haunting grounds/see the debut of the new location of baby braithwaite. Looks great ladies! Those windows are bunnylicious!

Day 9} Red~I look forward to these little red envelopes. Pretty much always a surprise. Right now I have Mildred Pierce and Road to Avonlea Season 5.

Day 10} Loud~This is what I hear all day and night. Extremely loud and incredibly annoying. But gotta love him! Pumpkin

Pumpkin is telling me he is hungry and will not stop crying until he has satisfaction

What did you do this week? Any fun plans for the weekend? I’m either going to Scott Antique Market or Gibbs Gardens tomorrow. Something fun to do and take advantage of the nice weather we’re having.
