July has positively flown by! I can’t believe tomorrow is the first of August. The time of incredibly long lines at Walmart and hoards of kids and parents shopping for back to school clothes, pencils, and juice boxes galore has arrived. Which means it’s time for me to become a sleuthy shopper and/or avoid shopping period and work on the blog! I’ve With that being said a few weeks ago my mom and I made an impromptu trip to Rutledge, Georgia for the Sunflower Farm Festival. We were a little worried it would be a washout with all the rainy weather we’ve had lately but it turned out to be a beautiful day and was a lot of fun. I found more treasures than I was planning on and was so inspired to get creative with my future gardens.
Cypress Gardens Skis! So fun! They made old water skis into lawn and patio furniture. Such a cute idea for a lake or beach house!
Jane found some lovely bird houses and feeders. We got one for the house!
Delicious lemonade and homemade ice cream! We had strawberry and banana. Man that banana was good, tasted like banana pudding!
Wandering through the 1811 house gardens. Love!
Love the shade of “fly blue” they used!
Jane is taking the tractor for a spin!
Love this garden! So many pretty old fashioned flowers and creative landscaping ideas.
Kitchen Garden!
Jane is doing a little cookery in her “wee” garden.
My bushel of sunflowers! So cheery!
Who else went to the Sunflower Farm Festival? What treasures did you find? What was your favorite part of the event? And who was brave enough to fly down that zip line!
Lots of projects still to come!
Have a bright day!
