Cobb County Master Gardeners Garden Tour 2013

1555

Several weeks ago Marietta had their Cobb County Master Gardeners Garden Tour, which I happened to find out about at the last minute and was able to attend. I just recently moved to Marietta and now live just a few blocks from some of these beautiful homes and gardens. I have admired quite a few just driving by so I was so excited to go on the tour and actually get to visit them first hand!

I love the idea of using broken shards of pots as flower markers! I have plenty of this already I’ve found in my yard.

We saw lots of Columbine in the gardens we visited. I think I’ll have to add some to my garden list.

I love poppies! I grew up in California where they are everywhere (it’s our state flower!) so they have a special place in my heart anyways. Aren’t these cool! I love the frilly ones!

Aren’t these cool! They are called Sparkleberry. I really want to plant some, they look just like little merinques and they are such an interesting and sweet bloom.

So after finishing our Master Gardeners tour we had our own little tour of my friend Marie aka Pink Girl’s beautiful garden! So many gorgeous blooms and lots of Miss Marie’s signature pink shades.

Who else toured some of these beautiful gardens during the tour? What was your favorite garden/flower/theme? What inspiration did you take away from Marietta’s Master Gardeners? I know I’m ready to get to work on my own gardens!

Have a bright day!
