I apologize for the delayed posts but I officially moved into my new/ old house several weeks ago and started a new job that same week so things have been a little hectic to say the least. I’ve been busy working on ideas and taking lots of pictures to share so I have tons of catching up to do!
First off Mom and I had a nice little weekend getaway in Madison the weekend of the Madison in May home and garden tour, one of my dearest friends got married in Madison that weekend too! Perfect timing :)
Mom and I started going to Madison for the home tours last year after a bed and breakfast weekend at Madison Oaks and I’m so glad we found this precious little town not far from metro Atlanta where there is always something fun to see and do. I’m always inspired when I come away from this town and now that I have a home of my own I can actually start utilizing some of these inspirational ideas and photographs.
Jane is ready to tour the town!
Aren’t these little flowers precious! I want to know what they are!
Pretty wall color and the plates look perfect on there.
I love a cat lover when I sees one! Meow.
Walking down the road to the next house we came across these scary “Sleeping Beauty” –ish thorny bushes/trees!! Does anyone know what they are called!?!
I love this porch! All that smelly good jasmine is blooming!
Such a pretty tablescape.
Peekaboo!
This lovely bouquet is plucked from the garden.
In the basement here is the original kitchen.
At the next house Jane has found a garden just her size!
Beautiful hand painted wallpaper in the formal dining room
Lovely plates.
Torture!
Bon Chien
Gorgeous flowers from the garden!
I’d love to spend some time on this veranda.
Pretty upstairs guest room.
That chair is made for snuggling!
I love good accessories, especially in the bath.
Going for a stroll and getting inspiration for my new house. So many pretty gardens and architectural details.
I love the old doorbell! Reminds me of mine:)
We stopped for tea time at the Madison Tea Room. What a nice treat!
Dinner at Tequila Express Café delicious! The name is deceiving though, it’s mostly Greek food. So good! Since we went it has moved across the street and changed names to Ricardo’s Kuzzina. We’ll definitely be back!
Saturday was wedding day! The ceremony and reception was held at horse farm Champion Oak Farm. Despite the soggy weather it was such fun getting to watch my friends marry and spend some time with them before they headed off for their honeymoon. Congrats guys!
Our girls weekend in Madison was such fun! Can’t wait to head back for strolling through town, shopping, and eating some tasty food!
Who else went on the Madison in May tour this year? What inspiration did you walk away with?
Have a bright day,
Chelsea aka bright girl.
