Madison Christmas Home Tour 2012

I am so behind on blogging this year…even though Christmas was only a few weeks ago (which is really hard to believe because it feels like months ago already) I feel like so much has happened between now and then. Unfortunately a plague of illness has swept through work, I had the bad upper respiratory ickyness for a month over the entire holiday season, which definitely did not bode well for updating the blog. Despite the delay I absolutely have to share these pictures of our trip to Madison for the holiday tour of homes. So much fun getting to see inside some of the many beautiful homes in Historic Madison, Georgia. Definitely came away with inspiration for interior and exterior decorating and ready to plan 2013 holiday decorating. Enjoy!

Taking an antiques break! Lovely hotel tea caddy, Napoleon & Josephine, china galore, music stand (which would be fun in a kitchen for recipes), and of course a deer for the den. So many pretty things.

Who else went on the tour this year? What was your favorite house? Vignette? Shop? Restaurant? Find? And on and on.

Hope to be back in Madison soon!

Fingers crossed I stay well and keep up my posts. Planning many exciting things for 2013!

Have a bright weekend!

  1. Awesome photos! I missed this tour. Do you know if there will be a spring garden tour in Madison?

  2. Hi Felicia! Thanks so much! It's always fun visiting Madison. Yes, there is another home and garden tour in May. Because most of the homes are private these two times of year are the perfect way to spend a weekend and get a peep inside some of these beauties. Be sure to check out Madison's website for a full list of events. I'll be there in May again and I posted about last years Madison in May so be sure to check it out to get an idea. It's even nice just driving or walking around in Madison, so many pretty curb gardens. Do you ever go on the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for Connoisseurs Tour? It should be right around the same time, always Mother's Day weekend. I've posted about that too, hopefully they'll announce the tour soon!
    Have a great weekend!
