Madison, Georgia’s Holiday Tour of Homes 2013

I’m trying to catch up on all my recent doings and with the winter storms brewing in Georgia I’m stuck home and have some time to work on my posts. It’s kind of nice actually to have time to go back and look at my pictures and remember how beautiful everything was. Very motivating for decorating and collecting for Christmas 2014. :)
Madison is one of my favorite places to visit here locally. It’s so close to metro Atlanta and has so much beautiful architecture, landscaping, and history. There are many fun shops and there is always something going on to come visit for. Madison has been my most popular blog inspiration and so many of you come back to see what I’ve been doing here. Thank you for the support and I hope to see you in Madison sometime soon!

I have always thought this home is one of the most beautiful in Madison (I mean just look at that beautiful ornate Frette work!!) and I was so happy to see it was going to be on the tour this year.

The previous owner of my home left one of these crystal horns. It looks so pretty on a mantel mixed with fresh greenery.

Anyone who knows me knows I love pretty china and silver. This antique set looks very similar to some antique Limoges my mother was gifted.

We stayed at the lovely
Madison Oaks Inn, which we love and have been to several times {May Festival & Murder Mystery Weekend} and brought our friends along. Breakfast was delicious as always and we love visiting with innkeeper Cheryl and, of course, Sophie the Pug. Thank you for everything! :)

Isn’t this clever! They wrapped hay bales in burlap and decorated with ribbon and candy canes. I’ll have to remember for next year!

Madison in May Home & Garden Tour 2013

372

I apologize for the delayed posts but I officially moved into my new/ old house several weeks ago and started a new job that same week so things have been a little hectic to say the least. I’ve been busy working on ideas and taking lots of pictures to share so I have tons of catching up to do!

First off Mom and I had a nice little weekend getaway in Madison the weekend of the Madison in May home and garden tour, one of my dearest friends got married in Madison that weekend too! Perfect timing :)

Mom and I started going to Madison for the home tours last year after a bed and breakfast weekend at Madison Oaks and I’m so glad we found this precious little town not far from metro Atlanta where there is always something fun to see and do. I’m always inspired when I come away from this town and now that I have a home of my own I can actually start utilizing some of these inspirational ideas and photographs.

Dinner at Tequila Express CafĂ© delicious! The name is deceiving though, it’s mostly Greek food. So good! Since we went it has moved across the street and changed names to Ricardo’s Kuzzina. We’ll definitely be back!

Saturday was wedding day! The ceremony and reception was held at horse farm Champion Oak Farm. Despite the soggy weather it was such fun getting to watch my friends marry and spend some time with them before they headed off for their honeymoon. Congrats guys!

Our girls weekend in Madison was such fun! Can’t wait to head back for strolling through town, shopping, and eating some tasty food!

Who else went on the Madison in May tour this year? What inspiration did you walk away with?

Have a bright day,

Chelsea aka bright girl.
